We’re looking for a volunteer to assist with operating a solar telescope, a unique and specialized tool that allows viewers to see solar flares and other fascinating solar activity. No prior experience is needed—we'll provide all the necessary training.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate the Solar Telescope: Simply point and focus the telescope at the sun. I'll show you how to do this.
- Adjust for Earth’s Rotation: The sun will gradually drift out of the frame, so you'll just need to keep it centered for viewers.
This is a weather-dependent event, so it will only proceed if conditions are favorable. If you're interested in helping out and getting a close-up view of the sun, we'd love to have you!
