Volunteers are an integral part of the Adventure Science Center team! They are a dedicated group of individuals who serve a vital role in helping us achieve our mission to open every mind to the wonders of science and technology, fostering an understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Volunteers have the opportunity to get involved with Adventure Science Center through a variety of volunteer shifts and assignments. From ushering planetarium shows to facilitating activities at events, there is a place for everyone!
Please note: Adventure Science Center does not offer court-ordered community service as a volunteer opportunity.
Requirements:
- Minimum 14 years of age
- You and your guardian must complete the digital waiver
Benefits:
- 10% discount in ASC gift shop
- Free individual or family membership after 100 hours (including access to the ASTC passport)
- Participation in the volunteer recognition program
- Exclusive invitations to volunteer events and exhibit previews
- Adventure Science Center is a certified organization with the President's Volunteer Service Award.
Orientation Overview:
- Introductions, policy, procedures, and activities
- Planetarium show
- Self-guided tour of the galleries
To attend orientation, you must complete all qualifications including a signed waiver by you and your parent/guardian.
Families/guests of volunteers in orientation do not receive free or discounted admission to the science center.
