TWISTER is an acronym for Tennessee Women In Science, Technology, Engineering, & Research! The TWISTER Conference is a daylong event that aims to inform, motivate, and empower middle and high school individuals who identify as female in grades 7th -12th to pursue a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) career. Adventure Science Center partners with inspiring professional women in STEAM fields who are eager to share career details, provide mentorship, and foster better representation. The TWISTER Conference will include four, 55-minute STEAM sessions, catered lunch, hands-on activities, and a day full of encouragement, education, and excitement.
Volunteers are needed for check-in, wayfinding, and other tasks assigned.
