Innovation Incubator

The i2 Makerspace is Adventure Science Center's high-tech makerspace where our goal is to introduce you to new technologies and empower you to gain knowledge and skills. When you make something with your own hands, it inspires the creative forces within us all.
Want to get involved?
In order to volunteer in the i2 Makerspace, volunteers must first attend our Volunteer Orientation. Completing this orientation will allow you access to this opportunity, as well as others on the site.
A few days a week in the i2 Makerspace we offer Open Discovery. We leverage our mountain of STEM kits, science-related toys, and puzzles by making them accessible for guests to explore and learn concepts through play!
Most weekends in thei2 Makerspace we MAKE THINGS! We like to do a new maker craft every weekend, exposing our guests to new ideas and processes, showing how easy it can be to make things on your own, and the gratification of using one's own hands in creating. And, if you're willing, we can talk your ears off about the science beneath the surface of all the crafts we do!
From water marbling to vacuum forming, making bath bombs, to LEDs and motors, you're sure to leave with new ideas and ways to make things!
