Volunteer: RETROspective Rewind Way Late Play Date (21+)Way Late Play Date: RETROspective Rewind is your chance to celebrate 80 years of discovery with a throwback twist! Guests will journey through eight decades of scientific milestones, exploring how innovation and creativity have shaped our world. From DNA discovery to gaming breakthroughs, each station will highlight the fun and fascinating science of its time. By the end of the night, guests will walk away with a greater appreciation of just how far we’ve come — and maybe a few retro-inspired factoids to share. Volunteers will help bring the evening to life by facilitating activities, welcoming guests, and assisting with the Innovation Incubator Maker Space. Stations will include Strawberry DNA Extraction, Gaming Wii, Relativity demonstration, Tech Dissection in the Makerspace, and more! Volunteers have the opportunity to get involved with Adventure Science Center through a variety of volunteer shifts and assignments. From ushering planetarium shows to facilitating activities at events, there is a place for everyone! Please note: Adventure Science Center does not offer court-ordered community service as a volunteer opportunity. Requirements: Complete a background check (for ages 18+) Attend a volunteer orientation and additional training courses for your position, as needed Benefits: 10% discount in ASC gift shop Free individual or family membership after 100 hours (including access to the ASTC passport) Participation in the volunteer recognition program Exclusive invitations to volunteer events and exhibit previews Adventure Science Center is a certified organization with the President's Volunteer Service Award.
